Notice of Preparation of a Program Environmental
Impact Report for the City of Lancaster General Plan Update
2030
The City of Lancaster is the lead agency under the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in the preparation of the
Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) for the proposed
General Plan Update 2030. The NOP, which can be downloaded
below, provides a detailed project description.
The Planning Department welcomes all comments regarding the
environmental impacts of the proposed General Plan Update.
All comments will be considered in the preparation of the PEIR.
Written comments must be submitted to Jocelyn Swain, Associate
Planner, Environmental at the City of Lancaster Planning Department
by November 30, 2007.
A public scoping meeting will be held on Thursday, November
15 at 7:00 p.m., in the Lancaster City Council Chambers, to
explain the environmental review process and discuss the scope
of the EIR. The Lancaster City Hall is located at 44493 Fern
Avenue, Lancaster, CA 93534.

This is a downloadable version of the draft Master
Environmental Assessment (MEA) for General Plan 2030. The MEA
represents the existing conditions report for the General Plan
and the Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) that will
be prepared for the General Plan program.
